On June 23, the R2EC held its General Assembly and site tour at the Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute, AIST (FREA), located in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. The site tour provided a valuable opportunity to learn about FREA’s cutting-edge research and development in renewable energy technologies, as well as its efforts to commercialize and productize these innovations in collaboration with industry partners. Despite the unfavorable weather on the day, there were brief moments of sunshine, allowing participants to view the entire demonstration field from the rooftop, including facilities for wind and solar power generation.
