Diagnose our society with risk, forecast our future with resilience.
Because of instability of social situations recently, contingencies we can’t handle with conventional way of thinking and methods of risk management occur often, new concept beyond the risk management is aspired. In these situation, as backgrounds, resilience which respond flexibly to the contingency and changing situations and is an ability to maintain, provide, and resilient social functions desired from people is paid attention as a new concept for alternative risk.
To respond these trends, Resilience Research and Education Promotion Consortium was established in cooperation with companies and research institutions and university on December 26th, 2017. Consortium would hold seminars, lectures, workshops, and symposiums and so on in fields of Risk and Resilience, with exploring new research areas, would be a base of operation of new degree program which is plan to be established in the University of Tsukuba in cooperation with knowledge of associated institutions, and would be the foundation of fostering academic and global human resources.
